Sabrina Carpenter Pays Heartfelt Tribute to the Late, Great Dolly Parton

The music world is mourning a true icon this week. Dolly Parton, the legendary country music artist and philanthropist, has sadly passed away at the age of 80. Following the heartbreaking news, tributes have poured in from all corners of the globe, with pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter sharing an especially moving message.

“An Angel Walking the Earth”

Fans will remember that the 27-year-old singer recently teamed up with Parton for a brilliant reimagined version of her hit track “Please Please Please,” which featured on the 2025 deluxe edition of her album, Short n’ Sweet. Now, Carpenter has taken to Instagram to honour her collaborator and friend.

Sharing a series of behind-the-scenes photos from their music video shoot, Carpenter wrote that her first impression of Parton was simply, “She really is an angel walking the earth.” She also playfully noted that the pair looked like they could be sisters.

A Legacy of Love and Laughter

Carpenter went on to detail exactly what she will miss most about the beloved music legend. Beyond Parton’s “once in a lifetime voice,” Carpenter promised to keep the country star’s “playful outlook on life, and perfect sense of humour” close to her heart for rainy days.

Parton’s family confirmed her passing on Tuesday, with her nephew Bryan Seaver sharing a touching statement on their behalf. He praised her “rhinestone life,” noting that her legacy is one of “love, compassion, and resilience.”
