Winda the Owl lands in Port Wakefield

A new sculpture has landed in Port Wakefield, Winda the Owl arriving at the Port Wakefield Highway last week.

The installation is the latest milestone in promoting local cultural connection, and was designed by Indigenous artist Harley Hall with Mike McInerney to represent local history, storytelling and Narungga dreaming.

Winda sports a copper beak and windmill-blade feathers and is part of a $2.8 million suite of community-led upgrades for the region.
