Along with classic puzzle-platforming stages, the new release introduces the Stardrop Mountain expansion. Across 200 levels, you and up to three friends can blow bubbles, trap villains, and pop your way through pesky henchmen. The fan-favourite villain Invaduh also returns to cause extra headaches while you scramble for high platforms.

For purists, the original 1986 arcade title is included in full.

The fun twist? The game runs in full 1080p high definition and introduces a goofy “Camera Play” feature. Instead of generic bubbles floating across your screen, you can snap photos of your own face (or your mate’s)and watch your selfies float around the stage waiting to be popped.

Whether you grew up pumping coins into arcade cabinets or just fancy an easy-going four-player couch game for your living room, this bright package is gearing up to be pure, wholesome fun.
