The Royal Australian Mint is set to delight fans by releasing Bluey-themed Dollarbucks coins tomorrow. Featuring Australia’s favourite blue heeler, Bluey, the 2024 collection includes three vibrant coins, each showcasing different Bluey scenes. One coin highlights Bluey alone, another presents the Heeler family, and the third features Bingo and Bluey dressed as The Grannies.

Available as individual coin cards or a three-coin set with an added sticker sheet, these limited-edition coins are sure to attract both young fans and seasoned collectors. Mint CEO Leigh Gordon expressed enthusiasm for the new release, noting its potential to spark interest in coin collecting, much like previous releases featuring iconic characters such as the Wiggles and Mr Squiggle. “This is a perfect way to introduce children to the joy of coin collecting,” Mr Gordon stated.

Kate O’Connor, Director of Brands and Licensing at BBC Studios ANZ, praised the coins for capturing Bluey’s charm. “These coins encapsulate the playful essence of the beloved TV series, making them a timeless treasure for fans and collectors alike,” she said. An exciting twist for fans is the inclusion of “hidden long dogs,” an Easter egg found in Bluey episodes.
