Yorke Peninsula Mayor Candidates Announced

Two candidates will run for the Mayor of the Yorke Peninsula Council at this year’s supplementary election.

Michael O’Connell and Kylie Leanne Gray are both in the running for the position, following the closure of nominations last week.

Mr O’Connell is a retired high school principal with decades of community involvement, and has served as a councillor since 2022.

Ms Gray is a small business owner in the health sector, and is campaigning on a ‘back to basics’ focus on rates, roads and rubbish.

Yorke Peninsula residents should expect the mailout of voting materials at the end of this month – ahead of polling day on September 22.
