Red Cross Lifeblood have put out an urgent call for donors this month.
Around 2,000 blood donors a week are cancelling and rescheduling appointments due to cold and flu symptoms, and it’s expected to get worse in the coming weeks.
Starting Tuesday and going through until Thursday, Whyalla locals are encouraged to make an appointment to roll up their sleeves and donate.

The pop-up donor truck will visit the Westlands Hotel/Motel with varying appointments and opening times each day.
