A project that’s been a decade in the making is now complete and set to benefit nature lovers in Booleroo.
On Friday, 31 May, Mount Remarkable Council opened and celebrated the completion of the Stone Hut section of the Remarkable Rail Trail.
The 28-kilometre stretch of trail has been upgraded, and now forms 66-kilometres of uninterrupted trail from Wilmington to Stone Hut and beyond.
Part of the upgrade was the installation of two custom-made bridges, which give trail users the ability to safely explore that section in all weather conditions.
This was made possible through $1.1 million in Federal, State, and Council funding.
