Eleven Yorke and Mid North businesses have scored a share of $800,000 from the state’s Thriving Communities Program.

One successful organisation was Snowtown Progress Association, who will put their $47,000 towards an RV Park expansion.

Minister Clare Scriven says she’s looking forward to seeing the projects come to fruition.

“It’s all about making sure that there’s that community connectivity, that there’s support for community organisations to engage more and more people, have more participation, and I guess really help that community feel that sense of belonging and ability to access local groups,” Minister Scriven says.

The program will continue into the future if the community knows about it.

“We are really interested in all of the regions; getting the word out there about the accessibility of this grant is a key part of that.”
