Stakeholders like National Parks and Wildlife and the South Australian Coastal Councils Alliance also backed this.
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport recently approved lower limits for some beaches. A final decision on the new default beach speed limit will be made by the end of 2023, considering all feedback.
