Without any prior warning, SA’s only regional TV news bulletin has been axed.
Mid-last week Southern Cross Austereo announced the Spencer gulf Nightly News would be pulled effective immediately, with the last bulletins airing on Wednesday evening.
Several big names in South Australian TV news got their starts in the Spencer Gulf, including Channel Nine’s Will McDonald and Channel Seven’s Rosanna Mangiarelli.

An SCA spokesperson says discussions are now underway with existing staff to offer alternative employment opportunities.
