Despite the recent rain in our region, much of South Australia has still had a much lower-than-average rainfall over the past year.
Data from the Bureau of Meteorology reveals that both the Mid North and upper Eyre Peninsula have had the least rainfall and the majority of record lows.
Port Pirie received only 171 millimetres of rain in the past twelve months, well below its mean rainfall of 302 millimetres.
Snowtown recorded a low of 209 millimetres, while Clare only received 284 millimetres in comparison to its mean rainfall of 534 millimetres.
Reports by the ABC suggest that all agricultural areas across the state are suffering, as the dry autumn weather has delayed seeding.
