New road safety initiatives are set to roll out across the Far North and Spencer Gulf, backed by state government funding.
Marree Aboriginal School has received funding for a new “Marree Youth Safe Moves Program”, aimed at delivering culturally inclusive road safety education in the remote community.
Meanwhile, Uniting Country SA will expand its driver training program across Whyalla, Port Augusta and Port Pirie, focusing on culturally safe and inclusive training in the Iron Triangle.
The projects are among 13 organisations to receive a share of $200,000 through the THINK! Road Safety Community Grants Program.
The funding is designed to support grassroots initiatives that improve road safety awareness and education across South Australia.
