Port Wakefield Cultural Connection project secures half a million in funding

Recipients of the 2023-24 Open Space Grant program have been announced, and Wakefield Regional Council was one of four successful applicants.

$1.9-million will be dished out to support the revitalisation and development of re-imagined public spaces, increasing activation and encouraging social connections within local neighbourhoods.

The ‘Celebrating Port Wakefield’s Cultural Connection – Edward Street’ project secured $500,000 to strengthen cultural ties within the community and enhance the space.
