Good news for cat lovers out there.
In a bid to tackle the issue of unwanted cats, the Port Pirie Regional Council, with support from the Dog and Cat Management Board, has launched a subsidized cat desexing program.
Eligible residents can have their cats desexed for just $50 and microchipped for $5.

The National Desexing Network manages the initiative, but subsidies are limited.
Residents in need should contact the Network to check eligibility.
