After the announcement that the Port Augusta City Council and The Benevolent Society will provide funding for family based programs, the Port Augusta City Council is hosting information sessions.
These sessions will take place at the Port Augusta Yacht Club this Friday, with two times: 9.30 am and 11.00 am, outlining how to apply for the funding to create a family-friendly free event, featuring a detailed FAQ session.
Agencies and community groups are being invited to join to learn more about the program initiatives and explore opportunities to provide community events.

The grants will total $1.3 million over three years, benefiting families and young people.
