Grain marketing and handling company, Viterra has introduced a new container packing service at its Ardrossan site, aiming to provide benefits to both local growers and buyers.
The new service aims to serve lentil growers on the Yorke Peninsula with shorter travel distances to deliver.
East Coast Operations & Commercial Manager, Craig Gray said the company had seen a bumper lentil harvest on the Yorke Peninsula, and they took the opportunity to build on the storage and handling service.
The container packing service has been launched following a successful trial earlier this year. Viterra operates one of Australia’s largest container packing and processing networks.
