Residents across the Spencer Gulf will get their hands dirty for National Tree Day on Sunday (30 July) with students participating in Schools Tree Day this Friday (28 July).
This year will bring the total number of native trees, shrubs and grasses planted to more than 27 million since the annual event started back in 1996.
Planet Ark CEO, Rebecca Gilling, says planting a tree has a number of powerful benefits for the environment, our health and the local community.

Port Augusta are having there event this Sunday with Whyalla hosting a free plant giveaway at Ada Ryan Gardens nursery on the 5th of August.
