A new recycling option is now available in Port Augusta, aimed at keeping medication blister packs out of landfill.
The initiative, led by local volunteer Shirley Mundy and a group of dedicated helpers, has established a drop-off point at the Port Augusta Civic Centre.
Residents can now bring in their empty blister packs for recycling, as part of a broader effort to reduce waste in the community.
Port Augusta Council has supported the program by providing the collection site, and is encouraging locals to get involved and make use of the service.
The initiative forms part of a growing push to find sustainable solutions for hard-to-recycle materials.
