A man has been charged with theft and firearms offence in Whyalla Barson.
Police stopped the man’s ute on the Lincoln Highway just before 1:30am on Monday morning, where a check on the man’s licence showed he was disqualified from driving.
It’s alleged police found stolen copper piping in the tray of the ute.
An investigation was carried out at the man’s home, where detectives allegedly found evidence linking the man to previous local copper piping thefts and located an unregistered firearm and ammunition.
The 46-year-old Whyalla Stuart was charged with theft and firearms offences.
He was bailed to appear in the Whyalla Magistrates court on 16 December 2025.
