Man charged over series of fuel thefts and traffic offences

An Adelaide man has been hit with forty charges in relation to a series of fuel thefts and traffic offences in Port Wakefield.

Police found a car in Port Victoria on Wednesday that had been involved in a crash the day before.

Checks linked the vehicle to multiple fuel drive-offs from a servo in Port Wakefield.

The 40-year-old alleged driver was reported for theft and a range of traffic offences including driving while disqualified, driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle and operating a vehicle bearing unassigned registration plates.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

A 27-year-old woman was also arrested at the Port Victoria address on an outstanding warrant.
