A man has been arrested on weapons charges in Balaklava.
Police were initially responding to reports of a fire and explosions coming from the Edith Terrace property at about 9:50am on Thursday morning.
They allegedly found found a large quantity of gas bulbs, sparklers and aluminium foil, ammunition and a home-made taser, as well as a small amount of methamphetamine, numerous pieces of drug consuming equipment, dried cannabis and a gel blaster.
A 39-year-old local man was arrested at the scene and charged with possess prohibited weapon, possess ammunition and drug possession.
He was bailed to appear in the Clare Magistrates Court on 22 September.
