The Department of Human Services continues to tackle antisocial behaviour in Port Augusta through various initiatives.
Weekly outreach meetings are now held to implement strategies, manage the 24/7 Outreach phone, and provide support with staff visits.
A Return to Country program has helped 471 people, including 110 minors, return home since October 2022 while youth programs have received additional funding, extending the operation hours of the Youth Centre and supporting a Youth Bus.
A Youth Outreach Program will soon be launched to help at-risk young people.
