Balaklava residents will have to wait at least another month before their local library reopens its doors.
The Balaklava Community Library was forced to close recently due to severe water damage and mold infestation caused by leaks from box gutters.
The damage was extensive, with parts of the ceiling collapsing in some areas, making the space unsafe for visitors.

Builders have removed the affected panels and conducted air quality tests with a deep cleaning process underway.
The library’s reopening is expected in three to four weeks.
