Some good news for vineyards in the Clare Valley, with Wine Australia pressing play on a new national vineyard register, with work set to begin next month.
The digital, map‑based platform will allow winegrape growers to securely record what they’ve planted and where, giving the industry a clearer picture of supply and demand.
The move comes as oversupply continues to impact regions such as the Riverland.
In South Australia, Wine Australia is working with Vinehealth Australia to streamline data sharing and reduce duplication across the sector.
Built by Map of Ag Australia, the federally funded register is expected to be up and running before the end of 2026.
