I wish I was more excited by this.
After many months of speculation Marvel has finally released its long awaited trailer for Avengers: Doomsday and good news Marvel fans, it confirms the return of Chris Evans. In the lead up to the release of the newest Avatar film it was rumoured and speculated that the first trailer will be releasing in tangent. This was confirmed to be true when moviegoers last week were treated to a small glimpse of what’s to come for the next Avengers film. You can catch the trailer here:
Honestly I wish this gave me more excitement. Since Endgame the MCU has worked hard on pushing new characters into the spotlight to help with actors moving on. However, this newest film seems to feature, nearly, all of the cast from the previous Avengers film and pushing them back into the spotlight, as if undoing all the work they had done.
The cast for the next film features characters from both Fox’s X-Men and Disney’s MCU and is speculated to be adapting story lines from the comics Secret Wars, as well as Avengers vs. X-Men.
Avengers: Doomsday arrives in cinemas on December 18th, 2026.
