Planned power outage expected to affect thousands across Yorke Peninsula

Thousands of customers on the Yorke Peninsula are set to experience a power outage this weekend, as ElectraNet undertakes vital maintenance on the transmission network.

Approximately 11,000 homes and businesses south of Clinton will be without electricity on Sunday 21 September, from 3am until 11am.

An ElectraNet spokesperson said the work at the Hummocks, Ardrossan West and Dalrymple substations aims to strengthen the network’s resilience and reduce future unplanned outages.

ElectraNet said the early Sunday timing is intended to minimise disruption.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to prepare accordingly.
