The Buckleys debut single 'Daydream' out now

Byron Bay trio The Buckleys, have been soaring up the national country airplay charts since their debut single, Daydream, was released on June 18. With big aspirations and years of national and international touring experience, The Buckleys continue to thrive since signing with Petrol Records and Universal Music Group earlier this year. Today Petrol have announced yet another significant development for the band as they officially partner with Los Angeles based agent Randy Salcedo.

“Booking agents are mostly never seen or heard when an artist’s success is mentioned. My Father was an agent, my Mother was an agent and I loved being an agent before converting my skills to artist management with INXS”, said Christopher M Murphy, Chairman and CEO of Murphy Petrol Group.

CM Murphy says, “The selection of an agent for me is one of the most important decisions a manager and or artist will ever make. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the agent greats: Bill Elson, Marsha Vlasic, Steve Levine, Steve Hedges, Andy Woolliscroft and now Randy Salcedo. There is nothing better than a creative agent.”

After a 17-year stint with CAA (Creative Artists Agency), Salcedo has now joined the innovative team at Sound Talent Group and will support The Buckleys as they move into the international arena.

On the new partnership Salcedo said, “Some months ago, Chris sent me a link to a new band he was considering for the label, The Buckleys. At first I was surprised that Petrol Records would consider signing a new artist, so I thought this band must be good. Well, they are. I am extremely honoured to be given the opportunity to guide The Buckleys’ live career.”

In its first four weeks, Daydream has leaped to number 9 in the national country charts; an outstanding feat for any newcomer to the industry. Collaboration with Salcedo is certain to bolster success for the young band.

“We spoke to Randy today, he is such a cool guy. The fact that Chris trusts Randy is exciting for our live career; we cannot wait to get on the road under Randy’s guidance,” said The Buckleys’ lead singer and song writer, Sarah Buckley.

The Buckleys (Sarah, Lachlan and Molly Buckley) are a teenage sibling trio from Byron Bay, Australia. At only 19, 18 and 16 years old they have co-written songs with numerous industry leaders and GRAMMY Award nominees/winners, including Emily Shackelton (recent winner of BMI song of the year), Marty Dodson (hits for Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney and Joe Cocker), Jennifer Hanson (Let me down easy by Billy Currington and Leave the pieces by The Wreckers) and Chad Carlson (Grammy award winning engineer for Taylor Swift).

The Buckleys have played a phenomenal number of internationally renowned festivals, events and concerts including Music City Roots (Nashville) broadcast on PBS American Public Television, Sydney Carols in the Domain (Australia’s biggest Christmas Concert), Tamworth Country Music Festival, Byron Bay Blues Festival, Bluebird Café and Douglas Corner (Iconic Nashville Music Venues), Academy of Country Music Australia, Opened for Brian Cadd and The Bootleg Family Band, Cooly Rocks On, Caboolture Country Music Festival, Mullumbimby Music Festival and many others.
