As Magic's "Store with a Door" wraps up this morning on the Magic Morning Show, I thought it would be a shame to say goodbye to what's been a pretty fun little game, matching store doors to their respective businesses.
Over the past two weeks many guesses have been made, and some great prizes won. For those who got in the habit of guessing which door goes with which business, I have great news for you: it's an easy game to play on your own! I must stress, THERE ARE NO MORE PRIZES after this morning's giveaways, and this is just for the fun of looking at a door and imagining what it could be for. Free fun.
This could be too easy of a doorway to start with, since the doorway is already open... but do you like what you see? Would you go in? Perhaps your friend is having lunch with you and they're waiting inside - or it's an enemy! See? It's still pretty fun when there are no prizes involved.
This is a pretty fancy door, so that certainly gives me a few ideas, but it's also so non-descript I can't know for sure. Maybe it's a restaurant on the marina, or a boat shed. I'm getting a strong nautical vibe off these. Is that just me? Where do you think it leads? It's hard!
This door is a bit more like the ones we were seeing during the promo - which, once again, is no longer running - as it's clearly a business door. Where do you think it is? I doubt it's from our region, but it's definitely from an English-speaking country. What do you think they sell, and will you come back once they're open?
This time it's too late - you're already inside! Bad news if you're claustrophobic, great news if you're agoraphobic. Where have you come from, do you think? Would you prefer to risk it outside, or check out what's upstairs? I love snooping around strangers' homes!
Too many doors to choose from, and plenty of stores too, if that was your favourite part of this guessing game. I don't expect any of these to be familiar to you, but how amazing would it be if you did recognise them. It's a small world. Imagine how nice the sun would feel on your skin, and the chill of entering the vintage shop. The smell of fresh coffee as you step inside the cafe. Perhaps there's a nice little tart sitting under the glass counter. I have no idea what the other doors lead to.
What's your favourite door? You can make it up, I won't know any better.
