An unlicensed driver has been nabbed behind the wheel while allegedly more than four times the legal alcohol limit after other frightened drivers alerted police.
Drivers on the M7 started calling triple zero about 6.30pm on Saturday after seeing a black ute being driven erratically at Cecil Hills, police say.
One driver continued to provide information to police as they followed the ute off the motorway, before officers located it.
However, police say the driver of the ute did not stop when directed and allegedly almost hit several parked cars before he stopped at Bonnyrigg and was arrested.
The 43-year-old man, who allegedly returned a breath analysis of 0.204, has been charged with high range PCA and dangerous driving. He is due to appear in Liverpool Local Court on November 27.
