Port Pirie Council Wants Local Input

Port Pirie Smelter.JPGThe Port Pirie Council is reaching out to locals to have input on the management of the $351 million of council assets throughout the region.

The manages a diverse asset portfolio that provides services to all residents in the region including the Port Pirie Aerodrome, Community Waste Management Scheme, buildings, cemeteries and more.

The council is seeking input on the draft Asset Management Strategy and Plan as well as a draft Parks Strategy.

Both plans will guide the budget over the next 10 years.

The Port Pirie Council says the assets are important to community life and asset management impacts directly on Council’s core business and service delivery.
