Local Police Officer Named NAIDOC Person of the Year

aboriginal flag.jpgA local Port Augusta Police officer has been named the city’s NAIDOC Person of the Year in a special ceremony for NIADOC Week.

Senior Community Constable Bradley Amos was recognised for his valuable role in the Port Augusta and Davenport regions in a ceremony on Monday.

Bradley also serves as an exemplary role model to indigenous youth in the state’s Far North, acting as a sporting coach, umpire and mentor.

He demonstrated his dedication to the region and its people through his efforts to organise the clean up of the Davenport Oval, his ongoing involvement in the Power Cup and his role as a volunteer with the Davenport Community Council.
