Expansion to Burra's Princess Royal Station to bring jobs

saleyard.jpgA boost to the economy and more jobs.
That was the projection from the Regional Council of Goyder, after they announced an expansion was coming to Burra’s Princess Royal Station.

The work to extend the beef cattle feedlot, will bring $32.1 million into the economy, while 25 new jobs will be needed for construction, and a further 20 once the work is finished.

The project got the green light last month by the State Planning Commission, and was eagerly welcomed by council.

The multi-million-dollar expansion will boost the capacity herd from 6000 a head to over 16,000, with construction planned to begin by the end of this year.
