Rowan Ramsey not satisfied with speed limit reductions across Grey

speed sign.jpgMember for Grey Rowan Ramsey has come out firing at the State Government, over their proposed speed limit reductions across his Grey electorate.
The government said it would cut speed limits on eight roads across rural SA from 110 down to 100km/h, which includes areas of the Flinders Ranges, Eyre Peninsula, Riverland, Mid North and South-East.
The decision to drop the limits, were made in what’s labelled by Mr Ramsey, as a “quick fix” to reduce casualty crashes.
Mr Ramsey says the areas affected inside his Grey electorate; Andamooka to Olympic Dam, Cleve to Kimba and Crystal Brook to Gulnare, was typical of decisions made by the Weatherill Government.
Rowan Ramsey says there is no proof the change from 110-100 will make a difference to casualty figures on the roads, and labelled it as a decision made by a government that only has two members living in country SA.
