A man has had his licence suspended for a year after he was caught drink-driving in Port Pirie.
Police will allege that a patrol stopped a male driver yesterday. He then underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.202. Further checks revealed his driver’s licence was expired.
The 32-year-old Port Pirie man was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol and driving unlicensed.
He was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice; his car was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
