Whyalla Council Supports Regional Landscapes Competition

The City of Whyalla Council are supporting the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA): Pitch Regional Landscapes competition.

The competition aims to discover and develop an original feature film idea that celebrates regional areas and allows regional Australian’s to showcase their talents and their homes through film, ‘location as character’ has long been a defining feature of Australian filmmaking.

The AACTA, in partnership with Screenworks and with support from the Australian Writers’ Guild are seeking story concepts in which a regional setting lends itself as a central character to the narrative.

Entries must include a title, logline, half page description of the regional area in which the film is set, one-page synopsis, the first five pages of the screenplay and a resume of the writer.
