A 58-year-old man has been arrested following a police chase through Port Wakefield at the weekend.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle when he was driving erratically on Florence Street, but he sped off.
The car mounted a median strip and narrowly avoided a collision with another vehicle on the Augusta Highway before stopping on White Street.
The Wolseley man was charged with engaging in a police pursuit, driving in a dangerous manner and refusing to submit to an alcotest.
He was issued a twelve-month immediate loss of license and has been bailed to attend Kadina Magistrates Court in November.
