This weekend sees the SA Country Championships hit Port Pirie for the 23rd year of the tournament.
Players from the Northern Areas, Spencer Gulf and Whyalla Leagues will play for Northern Zone, while those from North Eastern and Yorke Peninsula Leagues will help fill Central Zone.
The qualifying games will be tomorrow, before the finals and presentations on Sunday.
The players will also have their eyes on the Don McSweeny Medal which is presenting to the best player of the carnival, judged by the umpires.
Last year’s men’s winners Western Zone will be looking to retain their crown against the five other teams.
