Nukunu artist Jessica Turner has created an artwork that deals with the cultural and spiritual connection between the traditional owners, the land and the water.
The artwork is two snakes which represent the Nukunu people who are known as the snake people and is painted around the Beetaloo Reservoir which sees many visitors each day.
SA Water spokesperson Anna Jackson said the company is proud is raise awareness about the region’s Aboriginal heritage.
"We want to build awareness of the stories and culture within our own workforce and the wider population," she said.
"Having this piece of art in a place for everyone to enjoy is a fantastic way to do this.”
Jessica says the artwork is a representation of the creation of creeks, rivers and waterholes in the area.
