Uni Hub Spencer Gulf is hosting the Activate Business program launch at 2:30 today which will be the go-to spot for people in the community wanting to start their own business.
The new initiative will pilot an entrepreneurial business support program for 15 job seekers in the Port Pirie region, assisting them to create, connect and activate their own businesses.
Activate Business is a partnership between Business Port Pirie, Port Pirie Regional Council, Regional Development Australia, Kiik Start and Brace Education and Training.
The program includes personalised coaching, connections to business and community leaders, access to a collaborative space and a Cert IV in New Small Business.
The program will support people in the community to create, connect and activate their own business in Port Pirie.
