A warning for damaging winds has been issued for much of the state, including the the Yorke Peninsula and North West Pastoral Districts.

State Duty Officer Robert Charlton wants people to remain vigilant.

Meantime a CODE BLUE has also been activated in some regional areas including Clare and Kadina, and will remain in place until next Tuesday.

And SA could also generally be in for a wetter than average end to winter and spring season.

Senior Climatologist at the weather bureau, Dr Andrew Watkins, says it's due to the negative Indian Ocean Dipole event.
