SA Health’s Super Walk-In Weekend kicks off tomorrow, with five regional centres joining in the mass vaccination event.

Clare, Port Augusta, Port Pirie, Wallaroo and Whyalla are all participating sites who will be offering walk-in Covid vaccinations, both tomorrow (Saturday October 23) and Sunday (October 24), some with sausage sizzles and entertainment on site.

Vaccinations are open to anyone aged 12 and over, however children aged 12 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Michael Eades, Director of Nursing & Midwifery with the Yorke & Northern Local Health Network says, "Walk in, you'll be able to meet with our staff who will give you consent forms, and then you'll sit and wait for the next available nurse to give your vaccination. You wait for another 15 minutes afterwards, and during that time you'll be able to organise how you'll come back to have your second dose."

If you head to one of the five sites for a jab this weekend and therefore no longer need a previously booked appointment, make sure to cancel it so other people can book.
