The SA Power Network’s Apprentice of the Year award winner has been announced, with a Port Pirie local taking home the Playford Medal.

From a field of five nominees, Alanah Barr from the Port Pirie depot received this year’s recognition.

SA Power Networks Manager or Learning and Development, Angela Coker, says Alanah exemplifies the company’s core values and is a wonderful ambassador for her depot and the Port Pirie community.

Alanah has been involved in improving our notification system for customers, making a special effort to contact those potentially affected by an outage.

Each year, we celebrate the great work done by our apprentices by nominating a number of outstanding individuals for the Playford Medal (4th Year Apprentice of the Year).

Many Playford Medallists have gone on to leadership positions within the organisation.
