Regional MFS Assessments Underway

The regions eight local metropolitan fire services are being put under the microscope with their annual assessments now underway.

The regional station proficiency and audit assessments will return this year after a year off last year due to covid.

It’s a chance for fire fighters across all 17 regional stations to showcase their skills, community spirit and commitment to public safety, while vying for their station to receive one of five awards.

Awards include; the Chief Officer’s Shield, Regional Command Shield, Regional Assistant Chief Officer’s Shield, Most Improved Shield and the Family Friendly Regional Station Award.

The audit will conclude in September and winners will be announced later in the year.

Port Pirie – station number 50

Port Augusta – station number 51

Whyalla – station number 52

Peterborough – station number 55

Kapunda – station number 64

Kadina – station number 66

Wallaroo – station number 67

Moonta – station number 68
