Weekend Footy Around The Region


A few big Friday night games for the local footy this weekend.

In the SGL, Port and Solomontown will face off at Port Pirie’s Memorial Oval tonight, while West and South will both be trying to get their first wins of the season on the board tomorrow afternoon.

In the YP League, Bute will sit out this week while the other 4 matches will play out from 2.40pm at various ovals around the region, Ardrossan and Wallaroo both looking for their first wins.

The WFL’s, North Magpies maintained their perfect start to the season with a 10-point win against Central Whyalla at Memorial Oval on Saturday, and will be hoping to keep the ball rolling with a victory against South at Memorial Oval tonight.

In the Northern Areas all three matches are scheduled for 2.50 tomorrow, current ladder toppers Orroroo will meet Southern Flinders at Wirrabara.

And North East League round 3 bottom of the ladder Blyth Snowtown will go up against top of the ladder BSR at 2.45 tomorrow at Redhill.
