Port Augusta is set to hold a public consultation session focused on giving indigenous people in the regions the ability to voice their issues to the federal government.
It is hoped local and regional voices will be able to provide information on clear ways for Indigenous communities to get involved and have their say, through regular partnership meetings.
Feedback from consultations across several regions will help inform the advice to government in the final report.
Should the government support this proposal, there will be more discussions with communities and all governments to help decide regional boundaries.
