The Stirling North Country Fire Service (CFS) have had a very exciting year, gaining 13 new cadets and a massive $1300 donation from the Lions Club of Port Augusta.

The Lions donate $100 for each new cadet that signs up with the CFS each year and with the staggering 13 new recruits starting their cadet journey an impressive pay packet has also come their way.

The money is said to be going towards clothing and other expenses.

The Lions raised the funding to pass over to the CFS through community events such as a weekly Mitre 10 sausage sizzle and their mid-year raffle.

The Lions are also on the lookout for new volunteers, head to mymagicfm.com for the link to sign up.
