A man has ‘copped’ a large fine after being caught travelling 40km over the signed speed limit at Carrieton.
Earlier this week, police were conducted speed detection duties when they detected a ute travelling at 152 in a 110km zone.
Police stopped the car and spoke to the driver, a 30-year-old Hope Valley man, and issued him a fine for over $1500. He also lost 7 demerit points.
The man was further warned about an insecure load and an obscured rear number plate on his vehicle.
