Former Port Augusta Mayor Sam Johnson has become the new chief executive of Mount Remarkable District Council.
“After a thorough selection process, of which we were impressed to see such an array of applicants, we are pleased to appoint Sam Johnson to the position.” said Mayor Philip Heaslip.
With 12 years of local government experience as an elected member, Mr Johnson brings an array of experience to the council, along with qualifications in finance, property and a Bachelor of Public Administration which is nearing completion.

Sam Johnson has said he is, “Truly delighted to be accepting the position, and even more excited at the opportunities before both the council and the community. Already the community has been welcoming, and I am really looking forward to working with many over time to get some great results”
