Game of Thrones star Liam Cunningham has revealed just how tight security is to protect the show's script for the final season.
Cunningham says no one is allowed to take the scripts home.
“Let me tell you what I know. Yesterday something quite monumental happened," he said, “I got the scripts for the last season. Kind of.
"I got them all - I can’t open them because of all the security and I can’t walk them out. I went ‘I’m not touching it I don’t care’, because it’s like pulling the pin out of a grenade."
Cunningham has flown back to Ireland for the first table reading, with shooting to commence the following week.
He confirmed that multiple endings are going to be filmed so that no one can spoil the ending.
“I know in Game of Thrones, the ending, they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that nobody really know what happens. You have to do that on a long show. Because when you’re shooting something, people know. So they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that there’s no real definitive answer until the end.”
Cunningham says he has fulfilled his wish to make it to the end.
“My ambition was to get to the last season and now I’ve got to the last season, I’ve got to get to the last episode.”
