A vital initiative is underway to combat housing shortages and draw skilled workers to country towns.
The Office for Regional Housing, part of the State Government’s “A Better Housing Future” plan, is actively seeking builders to partner with and rapidly roll out much-needed homes.
Their first priority is the Regional Key Worker Housing Scheme, set to provide 30 homes for key workers like teachers, police, and healthcare professionals across the mid-north and Copper Coast among other regions.
This initiative is part of the government’s $474.7 million housing package, which includes measures to abolish stamp duty for first home buyers and fast-track land releases, supporting residents and regional growth.
